Back on the radio
It's back to Vallejo for another radio romp of dog poetry and songs. When will Warren's book of canine poetry be published? Stay tuned for the answer.

Sniffananda Speaks
Swami Sniffananda, a fully dog-realized being, appeared at Meher Baba's birthday celebration and shared wisdom from his spiritual opus, Dog Speaks. A howling good time was had by all.

Turban to Turban II
Big fun last night in Mt View as Warren Peace opened with his canine poetry for another turban to turban match up with the Swami From New Jersey and Swami Beyondananda (along with a surprise appearance by the feathered pundit Glenn Beak of Fax News).

Cruising with a Swami
Along with my Swami From New Jersey character, canine poet Warren
Peace hit the stage yesterday in Bolinas. He was also the opening act
recently at a performance of Karma Talk, wherein my Swami joined up for
the first time with Swami Beyondananda to go turban to turban in
dispensing wisdom to the assemble hordes. It was a great success. Karma
Talk will raise its turbaned head again in Mountain View on November
29th. Warren will be there too. Whether he will "sit" or "stay" remains
to be seen. He tends to have a mind of his own.

Karma Talk Debut
Last night's Karma Talk concert in Marin brought Swami Beyondananda and the Swami From New Jersey together for the first time, turban to turban. It was a packed house and a rousing success. Renowned canine poet Warren Peace (think Rumi with fleas) opened the evening. Warren had the crowd howling. Literally!

Warren's Q&A
Warren's favorite part of every show is taking questions from the audience and educating humans from a canine perspective.

Eye Contact
EYE CONTACT
Dogs are not people
They’re different
They don’t really want to
shake your hand
They like to be approached
from the side
Not the front
And direct eye contact can
be threatening
And result in a counter
attack
So here’s the question:
How can we reduce dog bites?
Simple.
Give every dog a smart phone
And teach them to text
They’ll never make eye
contact again.

Back on stage
Having just completed his second booking at the Fetterly Playhouse in Vallejo CA, Warren is feeling his oats. Inspired by the Olympics and all the Russian snafus that has entailed he lead off his performance two nights ago with a rousing rendition of PUTIN ON THE FRITZ.
One of his poems, METEORS, can now be seen on YouTube by CLICKING HERE.

Ball Theft
This morning my friend KT got carried away having her tummy scratched.
She was so blissed out that she paid no attention to her two coveted blue balls. Her big sister Cassie took advantage of this fact to abandon her four tennis balls and enjoy a scritch of her own with those tasty stolen balls in mouth.

It doesn't get better than that.

Swami Sniffananda
People are always asking me where I come by all my wisdom and fundamental canine cool. Well the fact is I get a lot of it from hanging out with my guru Swami Sniffananda. The dude is always tripping on the fragrances of the inner planes, not to mention dead skunks on Petaluma Hill Road. Some day I hope to be as cool as him if and when I ever achieve full dog realization.

Dodging a (coal) bullet
I tried exercising my Fifth Amendment rights with Santa but he wouldn't buy it. After I copped to all the stuff I've done in the last year he still hugged me anyway. That fat guy's all right. (Even though he bore a troubling resemblance to that weird proctologist who's always following me around)

A Dog Park Christmas
JINGLE BONES
Dashing through the grass
Chasing lots of balls
Crashing into folks
And laughing if they fall (Ha ha ha)
Pooping everywhere
Getting into fights
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A dog park song tonight
(Oh) Jingle bones, jingle bones
Lots of squeaky toys
Oh what fun
It is to run
And make a lot of noise
Jingle bones, jingle bones
Lots of squeaky toys
Oh what fun
It is to run
And make a lot of noise
A day or two ago
I found a puddle deep
I jumped and splashed around
And made my owner weep (Boo hoo hoo)
When they got me home
They washed me for an hour
And since I ate a lot of grass
I threw up in the shower
(Yea!) Jingle bones, jingle bones
Lots of squeaky toys
Oh what fun
It is to run
And make a lot of noise
Jingle bones, jingle bones
Lots of squeaky toys
Oh what fun
It is to run
And make a lot of noise

Meeting super fan Parker
Warren dragged us along to Jenner over the weekend to meet two year old fan Parker who rewarded him with two sticky stars on his nose. It doesn't get better than that.

Front page news
A bunch of my friends made the cover of the local paper this week (The Community Voice - Cotati/Rohnert Park CA) in an article about the Best Friends Canine Club (of which I am an honorary member). We have the people there well trained, including the guy in the hat who runs a virtual tummy rubbing spa.

Philadelphia rocks!
The Philadelphia airport has a series of Pet Ports (read that "outdoor pooping places") so that service dogs and the like can cozy up to a fake fire hydrant when they're traveling. The city of brotherly love just scored some big points in my book! CLICK HERE for newspaper article

Gotta love it when it rains
I just came across this cartoon of my friends Nori and Sweetpea (dog park buddies). With the recent rain there is now an abundance of mud to eat every morning. It doesn't get much better than that.

Rockin the airwaves and saying goodbye
I had the best time tonight co-hosting Berdalee's radio show on KGGV in Guerneville CA. We threw out a whole pile of tunes about dogs, many of which I'd never heard before. Of course I spiced it up with some of my poetry, including When A Dog Dies. When I got home I learned that one of our beloved members of the Best Friends Canine Club here in Rohnert Park CA died today. Poppy was a member of Fight Club, a select group that loved to mix it up every morning. Poppy was sort of the announcer. She'd often sit to the side and bark endlessly, a sort of play-by-play announcer that only dogs could understand. She was a sweet dog. The park will be much quieter without her around.
I remember the first day I met Poppy. We did a traditional nose sniff greeting. She smelled very friendly.
WHEN A DOG DIES
There is an ice-cold stream
That runs through the human heart
When a dog dies
There is a loss too cruel
To explain
When a dog dies
Embarrassment can stalk that grief
And muzzle the hearts cry
But those who know
Will see it in your eyes
When a dog dies
